Halobetasol

Halobetasol propionate is a super-high potency synthetic topical corticosteroid. It possesses anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. Due to its high potency, it is primarily used for short-term treatment of severe skin conditions and requires careful monitoring to prevent systemic side effects such as hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression.

Dosage by Body Weight

Apply a thin film to the affected skin areas once or twice daily as directed by a physician. Rub in gently. Limit treatment to 2 consecutive weeks and do not exceed 50 grams per week. Do not use with occlusive dressings unless directed.
